Repetitive Strain Injury

Repetitive Strain Injury I am a violinist and get tremendous pains in my wrist and arms. At night, these sometimes run through my arm like an electric current. Painkilllers don't help. I sometimes bandage my arm, which does give some relief from the pain. Can you help?

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid Arthritis I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (seronegative arthritis) a year ago. At first I was unable to get out of bed, get dressed, open doors or drive. The main symptoms have been swollen fingers, knee joints and upper-shoulder joints. I was prescribed naproxen, methotrexate and folic acid. What can I do to improve my quality of life? Do you have natural remedies and cures for rheumatoid arthritis?

Relieve Sinuses

Relieve Sinuses My 14-year old daughter is made miserable by a constant sinus problem. Her nose is congested and runny and classmates at her boarding school tease her. Teachers are unhelpful. Could you tell us what is causing this and suggest remedies to help her? I've been told that she should cut out cow's milk products, which would probably cause problems with school catering, so I would welcome your opinion.

Remedies for Scars

Remedies for Scars I have white pigmentation marks on my face, mainly due to acne scarring. I also have some keloid (raised) scars on my body after an accident. They are causing me deep distress, but my GP says that there isn't a solution. I am taking 18g MSM, 1g vitamin C, vitamin B complex and 1.5g evening primrose oil. Is there anything else you can suggest, and do you think these scars are permanent?

Rosacea I've been diagnosed with rosacea. Can you please explain what it is and recommend anything that would help? It's very embarrassing to look as if you've been drinking excessively.

Rosacea Treatment

Rosacea Treatment My 59-year-old husband went to see his GP six months ago because he has a red nose with white pus spots. The skin also keeps peeling. His GP diagnosed rosacea and prescribed a cream. This didn't work and the GP said he would have to take antibiotics for the rest of his life to keep it under control. He tried tea-tree oil instead and that worked for a time but the rosacea is now spreading on to his cheeks and he has gone back on the antibiotics. Is there an alternative?
